He was predeceased by : his parents, Claude Powell and Wilma Powell (Jones); and his wife Mary F. Gray. He is survived by : his children, Darrell J. Powell Jr. (Holly) and Anita Perry (Tom); his granddaughter Claudia Perry; and his siblings, Daneita Kording, Dorena Evans and Dennis Guffey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
