It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gaylene J. Nefzger of Rock Island, Illinois, born in Barnes City, Iowa, who passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Willard C. Gregory and Helene Gregory (Hartgraves); her son Gregory Nefzger; and her brothers, Lamont, Rod, Larry and Mike.
She is survived by : her husband Benny D Nefzger; her daughters, Julie Smith and Sally Bridges (Bradley); her grandchildren, Eric Smith (Chelsey), Ashley Poust (Lucy Chang), Benjamin Poust (Jessica), Allison Cameron (Patrick), Jennifer Marler (Colby) and Alex Nefzger; and her siblings, Patricia DeRosa, Roger and Duane.
Memorial donations may be made to the ARC of the Quad Cities in Gaylene's memory.
