He was predeceased by : his wife Nancy Dean; his parents, Walter Dean and Kathleen Dean (Kinnison); his grandson Andrew Dungan; his brother Kenneth; and his sister-in-law Betty Dean.

He is survived by : his children, Connie (Joe Dungan) and William (Tootsie Dean); his grandson Elliott Dungan (Jennifer); his great great grandchildren, Lucas Dungan and Noah Dungan; and his brother Ronald Dean (Marilyn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of his late wife, Nancy Dean or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
