With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merlin S. Swanson of Rock Island, Illinois, born in Creston, Iowa, who passed away on January 30, 2021 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his siblings, Ruth Swanson, Irene Gross, E. Allen and Dean Swanson. He is survived by : his wife Marilyn; his nephew David (Judy); his great-nephew Scott; his great-nieces, Katrina and Jennifer; and also, Graham and Marissa. He is also survived by nephew, a great nephew, two great nieces, a great great niece.

Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, Moline.
