We are sad to announce that on July 8, 2025, at the age of 84, Paul A. Fischer of Rock Island, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Paul's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Paul's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Fischer and Evelyn Fischer (Busch); and his son-in-law Joe Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Jane Shemek; his children, Michelle Stewart of Kissimmee, FL, Tara Schroeder (John) of Wesley Chapel, FL and Shannon Fischer; and also Larry Fischer of Lindsay, NE.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (2502 29th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Pius Church.
