We bid farewell to Richard Dean Hochstetler of Rock Island, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 1, 2025 at the age of 96. Richard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Hochstetler and Polly Hochstetler (Poyser); his wife Mary; his son Kevin Hochstetler; and his grandson Ricky Hochstetler.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Hochstetler (Mary) and Kirk Hochstetler (Matthew); and his grandchildren, Larissa, Janelle, Nicole and Rachael.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM and at 1:30 PM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (4107 21st Ave, Moline, IL 61265). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or Friendship Manor.
