With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Zachary J. Meincke of Rock Island, Illinois, born in Davenport, Iowa, who passed away on May 5, 2024 at the age of 19. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Bruce and Cindy Rosenbaum; his uncle Bruce Rosenbaum; and his close friends, Jeremie and Kenny Carrol.

He is survived by : his parents, James Meincke and Jenny Rosenbaum Meincke of Rock Island; his stepmother Shannon Meincke of Rock Island; his sisters, Alyssa Meincke (Shannon Moran) of Rock Island and Kierstyn Meincke of Rock Island; his stepsiblings, Shayla Hart (Austin Walton) and Zander Hart; his grandmother Marlene Meincke of Davenport; his aunt Kelli Rosenbaum; his cousins, Kyler Rosenbaum and Aceyn Brown; and his pet Budder.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Horizon Room at Trimble Pointe (701 12th St, Moline, IL 61265). A memorial service was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Mikey's memory.

Zach was a student in my Third Grade classroom at Lincoln Irving School. He was a sweet, kind , helpful little boy and I am deeply saddened to hear of his untimely death. Many hugs to you all.
