Billye F. Vernam Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billye F. Vernam of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Patt Edward and Zella Estelle Eddings (Quillen); her husband Claude Vernam; and her siblings, Patt and Edna Grey.
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Kersey (Mark), Amy Johnson (Dave) and Mike Vernam (Laura); her grandchildren, Bradley Kersey, Claire Sandow (Lee) and Joel Johnson (Layne); her great grandchild Lenora Sandow; and her close friends, Mary Makulec, Greg Makulec, Shawn and Christopher.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Second Congregational Ucc/First Presbyterian Church (318 N Church St, Rockford, IL 61101).
In her honor, donations to the church for their music program and to OSF Hospice for their exceptional care.
