He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Mae Ellis and King David Murphy (David Jackson Murphy); and his siblings, Verlene Cotton and Eugene Gifford. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Robert and Shawn Patrick; his sister Bobbie (Joyce Dotson); his daughters-in-law, Tomoko and Chris; his granddaughters, Bethany, Emily, Clare and Bridgette; his great grandchild Ellie; and his caregivers, Bob, Enkhbat "Ebbi" Viktor, Olga Bainbridge, Mashjooba Maulee, Betty Craig and Ashley Holder.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Honquest Family Funeral Home-Loves Park Chapel (4311 N Mulford Rd, Loves Park, IL 61111). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
