She was predeceased by: her parents, Carman Rodriguez and Feliciana Rodriguez (DeLeon); her husband Maurilio Cruz Sr.; her children, Maurilio Cruz Jr. and Mary F. Cruz; her siblings, Rose Hernandez, Mary Pauline Stephens, Cecilia Caballero and Manuel Rodriguez; her granddaughters, Tiffany and Baby Rosie; and her great grandchild Reyo.
She is survived by: her daughters, Consuelo Morales (George), Olivia Cruz and Theresa Gregorcy (Perry); her grandchildren, Felicia Carreno (Sergio), Sophia Robinson (Samuel), Mia Morales, Adolph Cantu Jr., Carmen Cantu, Theresa Anduiza, Trisha Love, Brandon Salyer, Natalie Grindle (Brad), Noelle Miller (Aaron), Jodi Gregorcy and Jennifer Gregorcy (Aaron Zagrodnick); her brother Benancio Rodriguez; and her close friend Miguel Ramirez (Cecilia, family: Tomasa, Ignacio Sigala, Ricardo Hernandez).
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (1860 S Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61108). A rosary will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory - Mulford (1860 S Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61108). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (2505 School St, Rockford, IL 61101).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carmen's name to the family.
