It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Daniel Nicholas (Rockford, Illinois), who passed away at the age of 93, on April 5, 2021. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. You may also light a candle in honor of Daniel Nicholas.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Ruby and William; and his brothers, William and Albert Nicholas. He is survived by : his wife Ruth Whitehead Nicholas; his children, Scott Nicholas (Sue), David Nicholas (Pam), Elizabeth Clark (Jim) and Julia Zimmerman (Brad); and his grandchildren, Danny (Shana), Adam, Kelly (Dan), Rebecca (Roger), Whitney, David, Allie and Lindsey.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 15th 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fred C. Olson Chapel (1001 2nd Ave, Rockford, IL 61104). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 16th 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church (412 N Church St, Rockford, IL 61103). Masks and social distancing will be required.
Donations in his honor can be made to Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens or Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
