It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Lee Shenberger-Nelson of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert W. Nelson; her son Michael H. Nelson; and her siblings, Clarence, Phyllis, Betty and William.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ginger Wood (Ron) and Penny Lindstrom (Steve); her grandchildren, Jason Nelson (Lucy), Michael H. Nelson, Valisa Ross (Sean), Jessica Davies (Lukas), Seth Lindstrom (Erin) and Mitch Lindstrom (Taylor); and her great grandchildren, Sebastian Nelson, Gavin, Camden Ross, Landon, Jacob, Carter, Tyler, Madison, Liam and Isla Lindstrom.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lombardi Club (209 Olive St, Rockford, IL 61107).
