He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Prostko; his sons, John Tobias III (Michelle Lynn) and Adam Tobias; his pet Jari; his sisters, Jean Tobias-O'Brien (Steve) and Mary Jo Nash (Michael); his friends, Pete Rumsey, Ted Oakley, Joe Zych, Nick Milich and Margie Milich; his son Austin Tobias; his pets, Griswold and Beau Jangles; his brother James "Jim" Tobias; his in-laws, Walter and Lucille Prostko; his sister-in-law Helen Prostko; and his friend Ronnie Milich.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory - Mulford (1860 S Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61108). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (1860 S Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61108).
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital—a cause close to his heart.
