With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marjorie Mae Penwarden (Rockford, Illinois), born in Kirkland, Illinois, who passed away on June 20, 2021 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, William Culvey and Gladys Culvey (Strawn); her husband Ray S. Penwarden; her son John Earl Penwarden; and her siblings, Merrill (Estalie), Donald (Elizabeth), Kenneth (Francis), Stanley Culvey and Isabelle Moore (Kenneth).

She is survived by : her sister Mickey Billman; her children, Ray W. Penwarden (Diane) of Mora, MN, Thomas Penwarden (Laura) of Rockford, IL, Mila Carlson (Richard) of Rockford, IL, Nancy Dennis (Kenny) of Henderson, NV, Julia Tashima (Eugene) of Apple Valley, CA and Mary Penwarden of Minneapolis, MN; her sister Marguerite Billman (Charles) of Poplar Grove, IL; and her daughter-in-law Donna Penwarden (John). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as many nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Rockford Rescue Mission, First Evangelical Covenant Church, or Morning Star Village.
