It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley A Truesdale of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Shirley leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ekstein and Edna Ekstein (Jepsen); and her husband Robert R. Truesdale. She is survived by: her children, Dale (Kim) of Janesville, WI, Shari Stevens of Independence, MO and Dawn Behm (Mike) of Loves Park, IL; her grandchildren, Josh, Zach Truesdale, Shane Stevens, Katie Wright and Kadie Bridges; and her daughter Tari Ann. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Scandinavian Cemetery (1700 Rural St, Rockford, IL 61107).
