He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Casteel and Frances Casteel; and his brother Rex Casteel. He is survived by: his daughters, Valerie Wichael (Christopher) and Julie Dierks (Michael); and his grandchildren, Bradley Wichael (Willow), Lydia Wichael, Laura Wichael, Brianna Wichael, Hannah Dierks, Emma Giove (Peter), Samuel Dierks, Joseph Dierks, Lila Dierks, Gracie Dierks, Gus Dierks, Hank Dierks, Georgia Dierks and Jedidiah Dierks.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Honquest Family Funeral Home-Loves Park Chapel (4311 N Mulford Rd, Loves Park, IL 61111). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
