She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Tharpe and Nellie Tharpe; and her sibling Jesse, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Hernandez (late Joseph, Sr.); her grandson Joseph Hernandez, Jr. (Tammy); her great grandchildren, Tayler, Sasha and Tanya; and her siblings, Sylvia Tharpe, Duke Tharpe, Mildred Underwood (Jay Allen), Violet Jepsen (late Dean), Wilma Lucas and Everett Tharpe. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
