He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Chovanec and Ruth Chovanec (Straley); his brothers, Robert, Elmer and Paul; and also Mary Ann Brabec.

He is survived by: his cousin Rita Kucera (Bob Kucera); his wife Pat; and his brother-in-law Frank Brabec. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to fight Alzheimer's disease might be nice.
