He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Schwerman and Eunice Schwerman; and his sister Janice Schwerman. He is survived by: his wife Peggy A.; and his child Jamie. He is also survived by his many cousins, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to purchase a memorial bench at St. Matthew Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hawthorne Woods, IL. Donations may be made to the Roger Schwerman Memorial Fund and mailed to 510 Springhill Dr., Roselle, IL 60172.
