He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Dover and Marjorie Dover; his spouse Gail Scherer; his children, Debbie Layne (Steve), Greg Dover and Sandy Gum (Tory); and his grandchildren, Alexa Adams (Josh), Lauren Bludworth (Cole), Jordan, Grayson, Abigail, Victoria, Shawna, Jack and Candace.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Elgin, or Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.
