He was predeceased by: his wife Noreen; his sister Barbara Burke; and his parents, James Thomas Richert, Sr. and Eileen Richert. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Nemec (Chris Houlis) and James (Robin Geller); his grandchildren, C. J. Nemec, Mitchell Nemec, Kristi Huckins (Brian) and Tyler Nemec; his great grandchild Lyla Nemec; and his siblings, Jerry Richert, Joanne Kopacz (Tony), Tim Richert (Sue) and Kathy Hunt (Les).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory of South Elgin (95 S Gilbert St, South Elgin, IL 60177). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 9:45 AM at the St. Patrick Church (400 Cedar St, St. Charles, IL 60174). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (400 Cedar St, St. Charles, IL 60174).
