He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Mattix of St. Elmo, Illinois; his children, Paula Mattix-Wand (Gerry) of Bethalto, Illinois, Phillip Mattix of St. Elmo and Patrick Mattix (Jeri) of Haubstadt, Indiana; his grandchildren, Aaron, Emma Mattix-Wand, Justin and Ryan Mattix; and his sister Louann Mattix of Champaign, Illinois..
