It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Shafer of Saint Jacob, Illinois, born in Lakewood, Ohio, who passed away on September 12, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his wife Lois Marie Shafer; his son Michael Rex Shafer; his great grandchildren, Midnight and Berlin Purcell; and his siblings, James Shafer and Ann Homan.
He is survived by : his children, Mark Edward Shafer, Melinda Ann Purcell-Shafer and Melissa Lynn Shafer; and his brother William Shafer (Judy). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
