It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence Eugene Coatney of Salem, Illinois, born in Kinmundy, Illinois, who passed away on November 9, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Coatney and Lucille Coatney (Brehm); his wife Wava Christine Bryant; and his daughter Marsha Ann Coatney. He is survived by : his son Gary G. Coatney of Salem, IL.; his niece Marilyn Carter of Salem; his nephews, Rick Hoskey (Jackie) of Salem, Charles Coatney of North Carolina and Rick Coatney of North Carolina; and his great-nephew Jason Pauley of Salem.

Memorials may be made to the Donor's choice and will be accepted by the Sutherland - Rankin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 97, 310 N. Broadway, Salem, IL 62881, entrusted with the family's care.
