She was predeceased by : her parents, Daniel Young and Ethel Young (Gray); her husband Wilbert Herbert Wood; her grandson Chad Clark; and her siblings, Peggy Dawson, Bill Young, Dan Young and LeRoy Young.

She is survived by : her daughters, Sheila Simpson (Tom) of Mount Vernon, Vicki Clark (Bill) of Broken Arrow and Tina Hiatt (Randy) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; her grandchildren, Talia Hoffman, Mandi Legg (Kevin), Lance Miller (Melissa), Craig Clark (Montie Jo), Arjaye Hiatt (Karlee), Elijah Hiatt (Becka) and Dusty Miller; her sister Joann Chatman of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Young of Memphis and Patty Young of Mount Vernon, Illinois. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
