He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Benton and Vivian Irene Shoaff (Finefrock); and his brother Thomas. He is survived by : his wife Marla Kay Hart; his children, Kendra Rogers (Zach) of Mattoon, IL, Phillip Shoaff (Brittany) of Edwardsville, IL and Thomas Shoaff (Hannah) of Shelbyville, IL; his siblings, Bill Shoaff (Debbie), Steve Shoaff (Brenda), Paul Shoaff, Tim Shoaff and Carol Compton (Steve) of Shelbyville, IL; and his grandchildren, Aralyn, Avery, Aurora Rogers, Claire, Vivian, James Shoaff, Benton and Rebekah Shoaff.

Memorials may be given to Main Street School Library or the Food Pantry at Shelbyville First United Methodist Church and mailed to Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL.
