She was predeceased by: her mother Annabel Landacre Bolds; her husband William K. Dunaway; her brother Paul Bolds; and her sons-in-law, Edward C. Eberspacher III and Bradley M. Pancoast.

She is survived by: her children, Jacqueline Eberspacher of Shelbyville, IL, Jennifer Case (James) of Shelbyville, IL, Jyl Fathauer (Steve) of Shelbyville, IL, Joyceline Pancoast of Mt. Vernon, IL and James Dunaway (Annette) of Shelbyville, IL; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Nohren (Jeff) of Shelbyville, IL, Ashley Koonce (Toby) of Shelbyville, IL, Shane Fox (Leah) of Shelbyville, IL, Drew Fox (Heather) of Shelbyville, IL, Nicholas Dunaway (Ann) of Shelbyville, IL, Brock Dunaway of Shelbyville, IL, Catherine Gahl (Chris) of Carmel, IN, Ted Eberspacher (Katie) of Elmhurst, IL, Ryan Pancoast (Holli) of St. John, IN, Erica Carmine (Shane) of Mt. Vernon, IL, Jessica Alcala (Rico) of Sarasota, FL, Erin Koester (Scott) of Findlay, IL, Emily Cour (Ryan) of Springfield, IL and Major Lucas Dunaway (Emily) of West Point, NY.. She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Shelby County Saving Orphaned Animals or Holy Cross Lutheran Church in her memory.

“Dear family….it is with a heavy heart I learned of the passing of a wonderful woman, Gladys Dunaway. I grew up in Shelbyville and she and her husband and family were a part of our life. When I think of her I think of all the activities I would see her in during my life…4-H, community activities, church, school activities….just everything. My family and her family were intertwined through the Shelbyville community. My prayers go to all, cherish all the memories..Wanda Stewardson”
