He is survived by : his wife Annette Tomlinson of Shelbyville; his sons, Nick Dunaway (Ann) of Shelbyville, Lucas Dunaway (Emily) of Shiloh, IL and Brock Dunaway of Shelbyville, IL; his sisters, Jacqueline Eberspacher of Shelbyville, IL, Joyceline Pancoast of Mt. Vernon, IL, Jennifer Case (James) of Shelbyville, IL and Jyl Fathauer (Steve) of Shelbyville, IL; his grandchildren, Lawson, Eva, Drew, Elsie, Landon, Easton and Margot; and his sisters-in-law, Becki Thompson (Ed) of Cowden, IL and Teresa VanDeursen (Paul) of Shelbyville, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Forest Park in Shelbyville, Kemmerer Village in Assumption, or Shelbyville CUSD #4 for the Bill Dunaway Memorial Agricultural Scholarship.
