With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Thomas Duerkes (Somonauk, Illinois), born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 23, 2018 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Duerkes and Antoinette Duerkes (Mittelmier). He is survived by: his wife Edna of Somonauk; and his children, Danielle E. Jensen, Wayne N. Duerkes (Jennifer), Charlotte L. Odean (John), Wade E. Duerkes (Pauline) and Annette J. Anderson (John). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; three sisters; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church to The CCD Fund.
