He was predeceased by: his parents, Campbell Melvin and Murlie Irene Cody (Bowen); his son Albert Cody, Jr.; and his siblings, Jim, John and Peggy.
He is survived by: his children, Debi Cody (Steve Ferrier) of Springfield, Steve Cody (Barb) of Springfield, Troy Cody (Lynn Burris) of Springfield, Todd Cody (Cheryl) of Sherman, Deidra Dodd and Priscilla Ditty Cody; his stepfather Johnnie Hayes of Shelbyville; his siblings, Kay Kerr, Robert Cody (Joann), Danny Cody (Cindy) and Richard Cody (Lois); and his friend Melissa Alexander of Springfield. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
