She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Turnipseed and Johnnie Mae Turnipseed; her spouse Jessie House; her siblings, Maude Goolsby, Ida Mae Smith, Frank, John H., Earnest, George, Joseph, Charles and Herman Turnipseed; her grandsons, Samuel Parker and Maurice Silas, III; and her great grandchild Cyrenity Gordon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Silas of Quincy, IL and Jennifer Parker (William) of Pontiac, MI; her siblings-in-law, Dollie Thomas of Springfield, IL, Anna Turnipseed of Bloomfield, CT and David Howse of Springfield, IL; her grandchildren, Wylette Jones of Cahokia, IL, Sierra Silas, Maurice Silas, IV of Quincy, IL, Brian Parker of Friendswood, TX, Chastity Parker of Chicago, IL and Kassandra Smith (Ed) of Lufkin, TX; and her niece Brenda Montgomery. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
