He is survived by: his mother Helen Janet Townsend (McCarthy) of Springfield; his wife Tamara Waldrop; his children, Nichole Townsend (Taylor) of Springfield, Alan G. Townsend (Jenni) of Chicago and Robert J. Dorsey (Cameron) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Kenny, Leah, Lily, Legynd and KyLeigh; and his siblings, Carol Tikalsky (Mark) of Mokena, Bonnie Doranski (Larry) of Chicago and Patrick Deane of Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
