It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George I. Heineman of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on September 13, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Heineman and Marie Heineman (Lysinger). He is survived by : his wife Viola "Marie" Gill; his children, Sharon Gilbert (Steve) of Chillicothe, Linda Rogers (Allen) of Morton and George I. Heineman, Jr. (Tamara) of Denton, TX; and his brothers, Fred Heineman (Kathy) of Rochester, Jimmy Heineman of Riverton and David Heineman (Wilma) of Auburn. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church.
