He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Sr. Chiles and Mary Lena Chiles (Goodman); his wife Anna Mae Brown; his granddaughter Margo Chiles; and his siblings, Bill, Rick Chiles and Betty Grey.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Chiles (Nancy), Teri Didgeon (Bob) and Alan Chiles (Kathleen); and his sister Barbara Miller. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
