He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Lee and Marie Alta Wainwright (Garretson); his former wives, Sandy and Sandra Joyce Wideman; and his siblings, Jack Wainwright, Marshall Wainwright, II, Dolores Harbour and Marline Herndon.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Monahan (Bobbie); his children, James R. Wainwright, II (Jane) of Greenwood, IN, Julia Wainwright of Belvedere, CA, Lisa Dean (Kevin) of Gilroy, CA and Sherry Kas (Vince) of Grand Rapids, MI; and his sister Mary Ellen Sattler. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
