He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Beams and Elsie L. Shephardson Beams. He is survived by: his wife Lillian T. Torres; his children, Benjamin S. Beams (Lisa McCauley) of Tucson, Arizona and Kristy R. Beams of St. Louis; and his siblings, Ronald L. Beams (Ruthie) of Interlachen, Gareth L. Beams (Polly) of Galesburg, Nancy K. Bryant of Riverton and Cindy G. Holloway (Andy) of Jacksonville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
