He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter C. Epright and Kathryn Epright (Pierce). He is survived by: his wife Debra Reynolds of Springfield; his children, Angela Epright (Eric Donald) of St. Louis, Jennifer Smith (Keegan) of Springfield and Michael C. Epright II of Springfield; his grandsons, Aaron Everist (Dynastie), Caleb Davis, Logan, Evan and Gavin Smith; and his great grandchildren, Liam and Levi Everist.
