It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Morton W. Spence IV in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 23, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Morton W. Spence III and Shirley A. Spence (Farley); and his stepdaughter Kristin Rees. He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Sami" Hofman-Rees; his son Lance Spence (Carla); his stepdaughter Kelsey Rees (Caryn Shermetaro); his granddaughters, Jessica, Katie and Kristen; his sister Carolyn Schultetus (James); and his pets, Savannah and Sabrina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Animal Protective League, Diabetes Association or Alzheimer's Association.
