He is survived by : his daughter Jennifer Shade (Russell) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Ryan and Allisen Shade; his close friend Kathy Peeler of Loganville, GA; his mother Joyce Ortman Smith (Mills) of Illinois; and his siblings, Deborah Blevins, Edwin Ortman and Pamela Stark.
