He was predeceased by : his parents, Wendell O. Smith and Thelma L. Douthit Smith; and his siblings, Steven L. Smith, Stephen O. Smith, Wanda Smith, June Powell, Tammy Scroggins, Elaine Smith and Barbara Phillips.
He is survived by : his wife Sherri Smith of Springfield; his children, Whitney Smith of Springfield, Megan Smith of Springfield and Evan Smith (Vanessa Cushing) of Springfield; his grandchildren, McKenzie, Cameron Harris, Wesson, Everly Smith and Callie Smith; and his siblings, Wayne Smith (Linda) of Estill Springs, TN, Jeannie Lehman of Springfield, Mike Smith of Tennessee, Wendy Hutchison of Springfield and Donna Dunbar (Gary) of Chatham. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Illinois COVID-19 guidelines will be followed, requiring face coverings and limiting attendance to 50 guests at one time.
