He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil E. Knox and Philora E. Knox (Strong); and his siblings, William, Eugene and Doris.

He is survived by: his wife Alvera Moor; and his siblings, Norman Knox (Lorayne) of Idaho Falls and Donna Matejka of Flagstaff. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
