He was predeceased by: his father James Edwin Hayes. He is survived by: his mother Norma Jean Hayes (Ball) of Kentucky; his wife Colleen M. Burggraf; his children, Kaitlyn Hayes of Chicago, Kimberly Healey (Beau) of Nevada, Sarah Hayes of Nevada and Nicholas Hayes (Cassandra) of Utah; and his brothers, Michael Hayes (Lynn) of Tennessee, Rick Hayes (Cheryl) of Hawaii and Christopher "Skeeter" Hayes (Teresa) of California. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
