He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hapke and Bonnie Hapke (Jenkel); his spouse Frankie; and his siblings, Arthur Morris and Faye Hapke Schue.

He is survived by: his siblings, Dirk Hicks of Kankakee, IL, Nancy Hapke of Pinckneyville, Sharon Siefert of Elgin, IL and Shirly Waller of Texas; and his niece Jo Eldridge of Springfield, IL.
