He is survived by: his former wife Mary Jo Ludwig; his children, William "Bill" V. Steele, III (Rebecca) of Springfield, James Michael "Mike" Steele (Ceitha) of Springfield, Frank Joseph Steele (Beth) of Nokomis, Cynthia Hancock (Keith) of Oconee, IL and Susan Steele of Springfield; the mother of his children Mary Jo Funk of Nokomis; his grandchildren, William V. Steele, IV (Kayla), Veronica Brown (Mac), Vincent Steele (Michelle), Alyce Hannan (John), Abbey Steele, Keith Steele, Kyle Hancock (Sara), Jake Steele (Amanda), Jessi Steele (Jim), Colton Steele (Ally), Brody Steele, Riley Steele and Remy Steele; his great grandchildren, Chloe, Margaret, Finley, Myla, Maren, Hannah, Hadley, Giovanni, Gianna, Genevieve, Jayben, Cayson and Canon; his stepchildren, Michael "Mike" Sanders (Jill) of O'Fallon, Michelle "Shelly" Secker of Pearl City and Melinda "Mindy" Weller of Springfield; his stepgrandchildren, Jenelle Stine (Myron), Kris Hancock (Stacie), Taylor, Reagan Sanders, Katie Luckett (Nathan), Nathan, Cooper Secker, Clayton and Brooklyn Weller; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Keira, Addilyn, Hailie, Owen, Hollie, Dominic and Peyton; and his sisters, Paula Lawler (Paul) of San Antonio, TX and Penny Huelsman of McKinney, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
