He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hillard Babbs and Emma Smothers Babbs; his wife Mary Lou Soule August; his daughter Lori Babbs of Bloomington; his stepchildren, Nancy Middleton Knops of Stanford, Bob Middleton of Stanford and Larry Middleton of Stanford; his stepgrandchildren, Miranda Knops of Bloomington and David Knops (Melissa) of Edinburg, IN; and his stepson George Middleton.
