He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Throop and Vivian Throop (Johnson); his father-in-law Willard Patterson; his brother Eugene; his sister-in-law Janet Throop; his half-brother Ora Throop (Dink); and his brothers-in-law, Dean Patterson and Bill Royster.
He is survived by: his significant other Patricia Ann Patterson; his children, Curtis Lee Throop (Bridget) of Steeleville, IL, Tina Ranee Crum of Freeman Spur, IL, Carol Jean Baldi (Shawn) of Freeman Spur, IL and Angel Ann Cooper (Mitch) of Danville, IN.; and his siblings, Irene Thies, Mary Stork and Bill Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
