George Walter Harper Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Walter Harper of Sumner, Illinois, born in Vincennes, Indiana, who passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Roy" Harper and Bessie Hazel. He is survived by: his wife Jane A. Harper; his children, Julie Jo Harper Bates (Leroy) of Sumner and Stacy George Harper of Vincennes, IN; his siblings-in-law, Marcia Griffin (Andy) of Olney, Janet Davis (Greg) of Lawrenceville, Brad Purcell (Dixie) of Bridgeport, Bruce Purcell (Gerri Kay) of Bridgeport and Jeff Purcell of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Jessica Mendenhall (Caleb) of Sumner and Joshua Hawkins; and his great grandchildren, Kaleigh, Jacob Mendenhall and Norah Hawkins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
