He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Beckman and Caroline Beckman (Probst); his siblings, Gertrude Overbeck, Marie Grunloh, Dolores Bierman, Eleanor Kinkelaar, Gerald Beckman and Adele Niebrugge; and his granddaughter Amber Beckman.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise of Teutopolis; his children, Connie Hille (Gene) of Teutopolis, Dean (Gretta) of Teutopolis, Kenny (Jane) of Effingham, Carl of Teutopolis, Jim (Tracie) of Neoga and Bruce of Teutopolis; his grandchildren, Jessica Niebrugge (Jon), Jacob Beckman, Jacke Beckman, Eric Beckman (Renee), Brian Beckman (Kim), Dawn Brummer (Jimmy), Aaron Hille (Emily Ferree), Dalton Ellison (Shelby Everett), Tyler Blackford (Jenna) and Danielle Legg (Shaun); and his siblings, Louise Pruemer of Shelbyville, Don of Effingham and Joe (Wilma) of Teutopolis. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
