He was predeceased by: his parents, John Yingst and Mary Yingst. He is survived by: his former wife Bernice M. Alwardt; his wife Bernice Yingst; and his children, Jerry Yingst (Katie), Denis Yingst (Teresa), Tom Yingst (Charlotte), Angela "Annie" Yingst, Tena Pruemer (Mike) and Sarah Clayton (Kevin). He is also survived by 1 brother, 4 sisters; 13 grandchildren; 34 great- grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
