He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Schindel and Ruth Schindel (Dean); his sister Rayona Morris (Schindel); and his grandsons, Justin Schindel, Brandon Bickett and Noah Bickett.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Schindel of Tiskilwa; his children, Judy Schindel of St. Louis, MO, Raymond Schindel (Margo) of Tiskilwa, Janice Bickett (Tom) of Tiskilwa, Joyce Wallace (Greg) of Walnut and Joan Jackson (Larry) of Princeton; his grandchildren, Hailey Schaefer (Eric), Austin Schindel, Jarek Elliott, Kenney Jones, Janelle Jones, Adam Bickett (Malinda), Elaina Bickett, Zachary Wallace, Izabel Wallace, Julia Jones, Angelica Jones, Ben Jackson and Brody Jackson; and his great grandchildren, Avery Sims, Raegan Schaefer, Mya Bickett, Violet Bickett and Lydia Bickett.
Masks and social distancing will be required, and the funeral home and church will monitor capacity limits to maintain compliance with COVID regulations.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the First Congregational Church in Bureau, IL.
